We have an exciting opportunity for a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Commercial Development Manager, who will be responsible for building out the customer base of Suburban Propane’s RNG offtake as well as growing the network of feedstock providers participating at our RNG facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the customer base for Suburban Propane’s RNG offtake, which includes the negotiation and management of short- and long-term offtake agreements
  • Engage in the marketing of RNG to potential customers
  • Build/maintain relationships with manure and cofeed feedstock providers with the intent to expand and create new opportunities
  • Conduct RNG market research for the purpose of learning and helping to further develop the RNG market including primary and voluntary markets
  • Build/maintain knowledge of the environmental credit market (i.e. RINs, LCFS, e-LCFS, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager – RNG Operations and Construction to understand facility feedstock needs and feedstock limitations
  • Coordinate with the Operations team on managing feedstock provider relationships

This position requires a minimum of 25% travel.
Additional travel may be required to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • College degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of business-to-business inside/outside sales experience required
  • Prior account management experience with a history of working to retain and grow existing accounts as well as new business
  • Experience in the renewable energy field preferred, including knowledge of state and federal renewable energy programs
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office products - Excel, Word, and Outlook
