We have an engaging opportunity for a Senior Manager – Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Operations and Construction, who will oversee the day-to-day operations of Suburban Propane’s portfolio of RNG production facilities. You will work closely with plant operators across the country to grow revenue and margin from operations including physical gas, environmental attributes, as well as other product revenue streams. You will gain in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of each asset type and find ways to improve operations and profitability.

Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of capital projects including contractor selection, and construction management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Suburban Propane’s RNG production facilities
- Manage EPC contractors and consultants and work closely with Engineering to lead projects from conception to completion. This includes managing project timetables, evaluating mitigating project risks, and developing new feedstock diverse RNG opportunities
- Work with operations teams to identify and deliver capital projects at existing RNG locations
- Liaise with internal and external Information System counterparts
- Build strong relationships with project partners to ensure the long-term success of the portfolio’s facilities
- Coordinate with Suburban Propane’s Safety Department on RNG facility safety
- Work closely with Engineering and Compliance to determine project feasibility including preferred regulatory participation (i.e. RFS/LCFS/voluntary marketplace), project returns, technology selection, site selection, and overall feasibility
- Develop and maintain solid working relationships with Farmers, other feedstock providers, and all internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and optimize feedstock agreements and offtake contracts
- Forecast, manage, and communicate RNG production to traders on a daily basis
- Work with Engineering to direct the short-term and long-term planning, budgeting, coordination, and control of Suburban Propane’s RNG portfolio
- Work directly with plant operators and third-party operators to ensure efficient and economic operation of RNG facilities
- Support Suburban Propane’s research, development and expansion of new RNG projects
- Coordinate and liaise with strategic partners, partner service contracts and Suburban Renewable Energy
- Improve business and operational processes by identifying and implementing solutions to address areas of opportunity
- Lead operations teams, consultants, and engineers to collect, maintain and report proper environmental data to comply with all state and federal regulations and meet all applicable deadlines
- Develop and provide reports to Senior Management as requested
- Manage the logistics of RNG transportation to injection points
- Work with Engineering to develop and maintain solid working relationships with Farmers, other feedstock providers, and with all internal and external stakeholders
- Manage and optimize feedstock agreements, O&M provider agreements and offtake contracts
This position requires a minimum of 25% travel.
Additional travel may be required to support business needs.

Qualifications
- College degree required
- 10+ years of experience in Operations and Construction Management
- Successful project management and project delivery track record including managing capital projects ranging from $5MM to $100+MM
- Strong computer skills including MS Office products
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of state and federal renewable energy programs
