Working with the Vice President of Area Operations, this position is responsible for developing and executing on market expansion and acquisition strategies in our Western and South Central U.S. territories.  This includes investigating new target market expansion, identifying and researching acquisition opportunities, as well as developing contact plans for identified acquisition targets.  Once a new business opportunity is realized, this position is responsible for leading expansion implementation and/or leading the field acquisition due diligence process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and investigate new target market expansion opportunities by conducting field visits, using marketing MPI, competitor data and industry knowledge
  • Work with Area/Region Management and Corporate departments to create business plans, identify land possibilities for purchase or lease, develop plan build outs/obtain bids, identify idle tank/vehicle assets to be allocated, and create CEAs which includes submitting them to the Capital Committee for review and approval
  • Work with Area/Region Management and Corporate departments to obtain permits, hire new employees, identify necessary phone and computer requirements, identify vehicle requirements which may include the reallocation of current assets, coordinate plant build out including onsite project management
  • Coordinate the implementation of the expansion start up marketing plan and develop/coordinate sales blitz campaigns with the Regional Sales Representatives and Region Management
  • Remain actively engaged in the performance of new locations for the first three months which includes verifying that pro forma expectations are achieved in areas such as customer gain, installations, and pricing
  • Identify, investigate and initiate contact with target acquisition opportunities by conducting field visits and building relationships
  • Work with Area/Region Management and the Corporate Development Director to analyze and develop pro forma on acquisition bid opportunities
  • Serve as the primary contact as high interest target acquisitions transition to bid/offer opportunity
  • Serve as the liaison between the Corporate Development Director and the acquisition target from the due diligence process through the close of the acquisition/onboarding of new employees

 

This position requires the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing or sales experience with strong marketing orientation.
  • Experience in a national consumer marketing environment with a branch/retail outlet system.
